Let The Good Times Roll:
A New Orleans Gumbo

As champions of The Phoenix Theatre Company and cherished companions on our annual Broadway Bound and various international adventures, you know better than anyone the magic that unfolds when the curtain rises. Now, we have an exciting opportunity to bring that same magic to our own stage — and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

We’re thrilled to introduce a new opportunity just for the ‘Travel with TPTC’ family we’ve built together over the years: sponsoring the world premiere of Let the Good Times Roll! Your passion, loyalty, and theatre savvy have always made this group so special, and we want to thank you for the energy and enthusiasm you bring to every trip, event, and production.

About the Show

Embark on a musical excursion through the insatiable joie de vivre that defines a city known as “The Big Easy.” Fresh from a staged reading in the 2024 Festival of New American Theatre comes the tale of a heartbroken young woman as she discovers it is possible – in fact inevitable – to be reborn in the “city that care forgot.” With an ensemble of six representing the wide range of populations in one of the world’s most diverse cities, Let The Good Times Roll: A New Orleans Gumbo takes audiences on a journey through history, hardship, and ultimate triumph that is the hallmark of a place where even major catastrophes – from the Great Flood of 1927 to Hurricane Katrina – are somehow always overcome by faith in the future, and an unbridled enjoyment of the present. With a rich gumbo of melodies from the renowned ragtime artist Jelly Roll Morton and “Empress of the Blues” Bessie Smith to the iconic funk, R&B, and jazz music of Fats Domino, The Meters, Dr. John, Harry Connick Jr., and the Neville Brothers, comes a toe-tapping world premiere that pays tribute to the life-changing spirit of Nawlins.

If you joined us on this year’s Broadway Bound trip, you had the unique opportunity to meet Broadway producers Jack Viertel and Michael Kruke — the visionary team behind this exciting production premiering right here at The Phoenix Theatre Company.

Here’s where you come in:

Your sponsorship directly supports the artistry that brings theatre to life — from costumes and sets to the performers and the creative teams behind the scenes. More than that, it brings our shared passion full circle: from the stages of Broadway to our own beloved theatre in Phoenix.

To celebrate, we’ll reunite this fall during the show’s run for an evening of connection, celebration, and theatrical magic — the kind that only Broadway Bound and our other trips, like the Festival Fringe in Scotland, can create.

Let’s keep the good times rolling — and make something unforgettable, together.
